SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE MINISTRY
MISSION – PURPOSE - GUIDELINES

The mission of the Scholarship Committee Ministry is to provide current, and relevant information and resources that will benefit all high school students of New Bethlehem Baptist Church in their academic journey. Our ministry will conduct the scholarship application process fairly and equitably, ensuring that the established guidelines are followed.

The purpose of the Scholarship Committee Ministry is to award eligible high school graduating seniors with a scholarship to assist with college expenses. We promote and provide financial support for collegiate education by assuring that students who are members of New Bethlehem Baptist Church have the information necessary to make sound financial decisions. We establish a collaborative network of community and educational partners to support student preparation, transition, and persistence to degree completion. We accomplish these goals by hosting our annual Financial Aid Workshop, and our annual College and Career Fair.

Eligibility guidelines are as follows:

A. The student must be an active member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church to apply for and receive the scholarship.

B. The student must be actively involved in a New Bethlehem Baptist Church ministry of their choice (August 2024-April 2025) to apply and receive the scholarship.                                                                   See application for ministry participation and verification guidelines.
